Major problems in India:
 HIGH INFLATION RATES.
Fueled by rising wages, property prices and food
prices inflation in India is an increasing problem.
Inflation is currently between 7-9%. A record
98% of Indian firms report operating close to
full capacity. With economic growth of 9.2% per
annum inflationary pressures are likely to
increase, especially with supply side constraints
such as infrastructure.
PROBLEMS FACED BY IT
INDUSTRIES:
 The entire software industry is reeling through
the problem of attrition. For some of us it might
be a surprise but it is an unfortunate reality that
in a country of over 1 billion people where 400
to 500 thousand young minds come out of
college every year to get some meaningful
opportunity. This real unfortunate reality is
faced by the industry in multiple ways.
Customer Delivery has started suffering.
DO YOU HATE A LOT OF
ROUTINE WORK?
 I hate doing the whole week again at the same
job. I hate routine. I need something different,
there should be more to life than this. I don’t
want to end up 40 or 50 doing the same thing
for so many years and be miserable with it. I
need to get out, need another thing to do, move
out. I want to have dreams and I want to have
the motivation and energy to chase them.
HOW IMPORTANT IS MONEY TO
YOU?
 Money is a good motivation for many
people. I do enjoy my job but I’ve family and
I need to support them.
"WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST
ACCOMPLISHMENTS?"
 Keep your answers job related. You might begin
your reply with: "Although I feel my biggest
achievements are still ahead of me, I am proud
of my involvement with . . . I made my
contribution as apart of that team and learned a
lot in the process. We did it with hard work,
concentration, and an eye for the bottom line."
ARE YOU A RISK TAKER?
 I am ready to take calculated risks, which doesn’t
harm the interests of the organization, which
affirms a positive momentum in me. While at
college I came out with an idea of establishing
some new features in my mini project, which
everyone opposed saying that as impossible, but
I succeeded finally in doing that project.
WOULD YOU DESCRIBE
YOURSELF AS AN ORGANIZED
PERSON?
 Absolutely. I like to have a check list, and make
sure that each item gets the attention it needs.
 Yes, sometimes a little too much so. I make sure
that everything is neat and in order.
HOW DID YOU PREPARE FOR
THIS INTERVIEW?
 Research the company, understand the job
profile, and if possible learn about people at the
company
WHAT IS GOOD HEALTH TO
YOU?
 Health is an invaluable part of a human being’s
life. Without it, people can become uninspired,
de-motivated, and unable to thrive for success.
Do you perform best working alone
or as a part of team?
 I prefer working alone and as well in a team
under circumstances… working in a team is
best suited at
 Problem solving
 Innovation and creativity for new
product/process development
 A heavy time commitment
 Example of team work:
 Organizing conferences and symposiums….
WHAT MOTIVATES YOU?
 Self satisfaction, the self confidence enhances
my knowledge which always motivates me to do
a good job. Also my parents, who have made a
lot of sacrifices in their life to make my dream
real, motivates me a lot to do a good job and to
make them proud to be my parents.
HAVE YOU EVER EXPERIENCED
UNFAIR CRITICISM FROM
SUPERVISORS AND HOW HAVE YOU
REACTED TO IT?
 Sir, lets put it this way, I wasn't criticized rather I
was given a constructive feedback on my
improvement areas by my supervisors. I
normally don’t react to those since I always have
open mindedness to learn from my supervisors.
TELL ME ABOUT A TIME WHEN YOU HAD
TO ACCOMPLISH A TASK WITH SOMEONE
WHO WAS PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT TO
GET ALONG WITH.
 Teamwork is the key here. The interviewer wants you
to show how you have the ability to work with others
effectively, diplomatically and still influence them. Give
examples of how you overcame the situation, mediated
or accomplished the task effectively regardless of the
behavior of a difficult person.
 I am a person who believes that the personal space
of others shouldn’t be intruded, will allow the person to
work on his strong areas and will collate to submit the
assigned task within the time defined.
TELL ME ABOUT A TIME WHEN YOUR
COURSE LOAD WAS HEAVY. HOW DID YOU
COMPLETE ALL YOUR WORK?
 During the second year of my study, I found the
workload was heavy. Since IO was also
concentrating in lot of co curricular activities, I
took each subject one at a time. I didn't
multitask. Each subject is a new thing to focus
on. One shouldn't try to do it all at once because
that's an overload on your mind. Focus on one
subject, then switch to another. Effective time
management and strategies followed helped me
to complete all the work.
HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF
INDISPENSABLE TO THE COMPANY?
 I always believe in 3D’s: determination,
dedication and discipline, alongside I possess
good communication and interpersonal skills,
good subject knowledge and interact with all
ages of people diplomatically.
IF I DON’T SELECT YOU HOW
WOULD YOU REACT?
 At the first instance, I would feel dejected since
I always had admiration to work with your
company. My immediate step would be for an
open feed back to analyze my performance so
that my mistakes don’t get repetitive
CAREER ASPIRATIONS:
 Seeking a challenging career where my acquired
skills and education will get maximized to the
best of my abilities. To associate with an
organization where there is ample scope for
organizational growth as well as scope for
development of the individual.
TYPICAL DAY:
 My typical day is normally the week end since
that’s the time when I get to meet my friends,
exchange the happenings of that particular week,
spend some time at hangouts and get myself
rejuvenated.
DEFINING MOMENTS:
 Most people, when they think of defining
moments in their lives, think of life-shattering
events, tragedies, or maybe even their first
encounters with love.
THANK YOU
