Robotics Education
Researcher: INYERE, B. Favour
Topic
♀Technology makes the classroom boundless.
♀ICT advancements in pedagogy have made it possible for
learning experiences to occur at any time, place and pace
through electronic means.
♀e-learning refers to the transfer of knowledge, skill and
information to a learner with technology as the means of
content delivery by improving the quality of learning
experience and extending the reach.
♀Application and uses of e-learning
Education, Health, Sports (soccer), Entertainment, Research, Administration
Introduction
♂Templates for designing eLearning are called platforms
♂E-learning platform, in this study, are electronic environments
through which instructional materials, instructors and learners
interact. E-learning platforms like WebCT, Moodle, Blackboard,
Google, Atutor, are the medium by which education is transmitted,
beyond the classroom walls.
♂Skilled utilisation of eLearning platforms relies heavily on
effective practical knowledge .
♂E-learning skills for university lecturers are
TECHNICAL, PEDAGOGICAL, CREATIVE AND RAPPORT.
Introduction
►Where we are currently
►Adoption of E-learning
►Utilisation of Platforms
►Skills deficiency
Statement of Problem
Schooling is not just about going somewhere at some time, but education coming to people wherever and whenever
The lack of skills among the academic experts who are
supposed to be championing the use of e-learning to adjust
to modern trend is one of the leading problems to the
utilization of e-learning in the universities, especially in
Enugu state.
This study is thus designed to determine skills required of
lecturers in the utilization of e-learning platform, especially
universities in Enugu State.
Statement of Problem
Purpose of the Study
The major purpose of this study
is to determine the skill needs
of lecturers for utilization of
eLearning platforms in
Universities in Enugu state

 Enugu State
Population for the study
2,994 population for the study is made up of Lecturers from
University of Nigeria, Nsukka
Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Agbani
Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu
Methodology
Sample and sampling technique
Proportionate-simple random
sampling technique was used
‡ the sample for the study is 400 Lecturers drawn from the population,
obtained through Taro Yamane formula Instrument for data collection
The instrument for data collection is a
structured questionnaire of 90 questions.
Methodology
☺Face validated by three experts;
two from Department of Computer and Robotics Education,
University of Nigeria, Nsukka,
and one from the Department of Computer Engineering,
Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu.
Methodology
®The reliability of the instrument will be determined using
Cronbach Alpha reliability method
The instrument will be
administered on the
respondents by the
researcher with the help of
three research assistants.
Method of
Data
Collection
Methodology
The collected data will be analysed using
mean and standard deviation (SD) to
answer research questions and t-test to
test the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of
significance.
For decision making, 2.5 criterion mean value will be set.
