This document provides guidelines for writing a legal brief for an assignment in an Educational Administration course. It outlines the 5 parts that should be included in a legal brief: 1) Summary of facts, 2) Summary of legal issues, 3) Description of claimants and their position, 4) The court's decision, and 5) The student's opinions on the case. It provides details on what should be included in each part, such as concisely summarizing the key facts, phrasing the legal issue as a question, and justifying the court's decision based on precedent. A rubric is also included for evaluating legal briefs.
