- 1. Editing log – 08/01/14 In the session today, Nick from Chocolate Films came in to help guide our group with editing the footage which I found very helpful because of his advice. When he viewed the opening to the sequence he suggested we should change it and focus more on the subject of the documentary, so we did this by going straight into the voice-over of the information on the Lewis Chessmen. We re-arranged the clips and made it look more like a real documentary by cutting out the bits that were irrelevant and used Nick’s suggestion. After we completed the opening, Nick synced the audio and footage together of the shots we collected from the museum which was created by camera and a boom mic. By doing this, it gave the sequence a better quality sound and made it a lot more professional. Overall, I think Nick was a good influence for our documentary because he gave us a better sense of direction.
