Information Processing Theory
A: 5 senses: The first stimulus for memory comes
thru the 5 senses (smelling, tactive, taste, hearing
and seeing)
B: Short Term Memory: Where information first
goes. It lasts from seconds to minutes. If your
brain consider information not important it will
delete it.
C: Working Memory: If information is being
rehearse for a couple of times, the information
will last a couple of hours. Usually is when you
practice for a special event. If these information is
not practice long enough it will be erase from
memory and not pass to the Long Term Memory.
D: Long Term Memory: It is your permanent
memory. Where important information or
experience are stored to be later used at any
given moment.
