- 12. Phase Sequence: A three phase system of voltages (or currents) has a sequence (or order) in which the phases reach a particular position (for example peak value). This is the natural sequence of the supply. According to usual notation sequence R-Y-B.
- 13. Balanced System: The e.m.f. of three phases are equal and phase displayed by 120 degrees. The impedance in any one phase is identical with each other. The resulting currents in different phases are equal in magnitude and phases. Equal power and equal reactive power flow in each phase.
