1. INTRODUCTION
There are many factors that influence to reach maximum sport achievement. Generally, the
factors are intern factorand ektern factor of athlete. Syafruddin (2012; 76) explains that that
achievement requires the necessary elements of physical condition, technique, tactic, and
mentality. This means that one very important element is physical condition. Physical
condition also very important role in every activity, including to improve blood flow, increase
physical elements, better mobility, easy technical training and tactics.
The development of pencak silat, athletes are not only required to have speed, endurance,
strength and flexibility which are the basic physical components, but athletes must also have a

higher level of basic physical condition including a combination of speed and strength,
endurance and speed. In pencaksilat one of the elements of physical condition required is
speed endurance. Speed in pencaksilat also needed to anticipating the opponent’s attack. One
type of attack that is often used in the pencaksilat match is through kicks. Base on some
research conducted, more tha 75% of attack used in the pencaksilat match are attacks using
kick techniques. In every pencaksilat match, almost 100% athlete use the technique with
different variation to seek victory (R. Ketot, 2003: 71). The speed it should be maintained as
long as possible so it can be speed endurance.
Speed endurance is a combination of speed work ability and endurance. Harsono
(2016:27) explains that the higher endurance in physical component is anaerobic endurance.
Its mean, athlete speed endurance must have great endurance and good speed. In order to have
great speed endurance, athlete must do exercises with high level of intensity. Sidik (2011:5)
explains that the durability of the speed must be maintained in a relatively long duration.
At this time, many coaches have been conducting and providing a speed endurance
training program to the athlete. However, to measure whether an increase in speed endurance
is still many coaches can not yet know. This is due to the absence of standard instruments in
measuring speed endurance especially the pencaksilat athlete. This mean measurement
process of physical condition its also very important in achieving achievement especially
measurements of physical condition. This is in accordance with Nurhasan (2014:11) which
explains that there are obstacles in the coaching and training system that must be followed
that are not in accordance with the ideal coaching pattern have not utilized the technology
maximally, especially in the measurement or regarding instruments as a measurement tool.
Measuring instruments used in measurementsshould be able to measure what is beeing
measured. So that the collected data has a high level of truth. Djaali (2008: 65) explains that a
test or measuring instrument is valid when it can measure what should be measured.
Furthermore Sumadi S (2013; 31) describes that data retrieval tool or instrument to determine
the quality of data collected and the quality of the data determines the quality of research
A coach should know the abilities of his athlete using the correct test and measurement
process. This is because the tasks and responsibilities of the coach should have data on each
of the elements necessary in a sport that is practiced. To collect valid data, the necessary
instruments that have the level of trust and reliability that have been tested. The accuracy of
the instrument selection is one of the important factors that must be considered in retrieving
data trainer athletes. Terms selecting an instrument that has the ability to evaluate must meet
certain characteristics. In this case Sukardi (2010; 29). believes these characteristics are valid,
reliable and can be used. One thing that is important to note in the preparation of an
instrument is the starting point of the definition of variables to be studied or measured. From
the definition of operational variables and next will be determined indacator to be measured
(Sugiyono. 2010; 149). This means that the test developed should represent the operational
definition of variables to be measured. Similarly, in the use of physical condition tests in the
sport.
Based on discussions with several pencaksilat coaches that the instrument did not exist in
accordance with the branch of pencaksilat. Based on these realities, then comes the ideas to
create and develop speed endurance instrument in pencaksilat, especially the teenage athlete.
The goal is that the availability of speed endurance instrument capable of measuring in
accordance with what is to be measured. And in the end the researchers hope that the
instruments developed speed endurance can be used as one of the instruments that have been
tested and can actually be used as one of the efforts in advancing the Indonesian pencaksilat
accomplishments.

The design of this study can be seen in the fish diagram below:
The data needed in this research is the feedback or assessment from experts related to
intrument kick speed endurance in pencaksilat. Data collected by questionnaire closed and
open. In addition, data obtained by experts interviews. Data analysis technique was done by
percentage technique.
3. RESEARCH RESULT
The final goal of this research is to design an instrument of physical condition that is kick
speed endurance specifically for youthpencaksilat athletes. This instrument was designed
based on the analysis of the needs of an instrument to measure the physical condition,
especially endurance of kick speeds for pencaksilat athlete. This is because the speed
endurance for athletes of martial arts is very important but until now there has not been a
special speed kick instument endurance specifically for pencaksilat athlete.
Pencaksilat match is conducted over three rounds, each round consists of two net minute,
it means starting from the referee gave a downbeat start to cue arrest, time is running
normally. During that time the athlete perform various movements to get value such as doing
kicks, punches and various efforts to bring down his opponent. If something happened that led
to the referee gave a downbeat stop, then stop watch is turned off until the referee gave a
downbeat start. The match continues until the gong sounds as a sign of the end of the half.
The activity lasted three innings and the break between innings during one minute.
Based on the above, the athlete in need of some special physical condition. To be able to
perform activities such as hitting, kicking, dodge, and dispelling as well as other movements
should be done quickly. In addition to fast, the movements should be done can be done until
the match is completed so that the speed should be maintained as long as possible. That is
why in pencaksilat is needed especially in the kick speed endurance.
In this study, in accordance with the stages arranged in research development is preceded
by a preliminary study. The purpose of preliminary studies in this research is to examine and
analyze various matters relating to the durability of the speed according to the needs in
pencaksilat. Preliminary studies conducted reasearch through various methods, namely, a
literature review and Focus Group Discution (FGD) from several experts associated with the
research undertaken. In this study the experts involved are expert coaching and exercise
physiologist, pencaksilat expert, and measurement test expert and evaluation test in the sport.
After the instruments for speed endurance athletes teenage pecaksilatthe authorcompile it
is conducted a study and focus group discussions with experts and test the validity of the
expert. As for having done so the importance of the input as follows based on expert review
are:
Expert Coaching and Sport Physiology
To view the suitability test with exercise physiology need to study more in order to suit the
purpose of the test. This test is similar to the Multi Stage Fitness Test but already has set so
that similar methods and recovery intervals. In the execution of tests necessary to measure the
pulse of athletes and can do up to level 15. However, in general, this is a good test for
measuring the speed endurance.
Pencak Silat expert
In carrying out the tests, testee is required in the attitude of a good pencaksilat tide because
the pencaksilat match are counted or legitimate is an attack that entered legitimate target, fast
and powerful. So in the implementation of the test, testee should not doa quick kick of origin
but must be with correct and precise movements.

The design of the test has validity for measuring the kick speed endurance pencaksilatathlete.
However, it is also necessary to see the validity rate of the power test of kick speed endurance
of this pencaksilat with related test or relevant or similar test.
Based on the result of the discussion, the researcher with the team to improve the draft
power test instrument the speed of the athlete kick pencaksilat. The result of the kick speed
endurance instrument are:

In a pencaksilat especially duel category, the athlete really need kick speed endurance when kicking. The target to be achieved in this research is creating standard instrument for measuring kick speed endurance of pencaksilat athlete. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D).This study uses research methods development by adopting a model Borg and Gall with 10 stages of development, namely: 1). Research and information collecting; 2). Planning; 3). Develop preliminary form of product, 4). Preliminary field testing; 5). Main product revision; 6). Main field testing: 7). Operational product revision; 8). Operational field testing; 9). Final product revision; 10). Dissemination and implementation. In the development of this instrument through a review by an expert physical condition, test, sport measurement, and pencaksilat. The result showed that: 1) Instrument of kick speed endurance of pencaksilat athlete that developed whorthy and valid used as measuring instrument, with the percentage of exercise physiology expert validity of 71.67%, the validity of the test and measurement expert sports 94, 55%, and the validity of the pencaksilat expert 92.00%. So we get the average validity of experts is 86.07%. INTRODUCTION There are many factors that influence to reach maximum sport achievement. Generally, the factors are intern factorand ektern factor of athlete. Syafruddin (2012; 76) explains that that achievement requires the necessary elements of physical condition, technique, tactic, and mentality. This means that one very important element is physical condition. Physical condition also very important role in every activity, including to improve blood flow, increase physical elements, better mobility, easy technical training and tactics. The development of pencak silat, athletes are not only required to have speed, endurance, strength and flexibility which are the basic physical components, but athletes must also have a

Development Instrument of Kick Speed Endurance of Pencak Silat Athlete http://www.iaeme.com/IJMET/index.asp 49 editor@iaeme.com higher level of basic physical condition including a combination of speed and strength, endurance and speed. In pencaksilat one of the elements of physical condition required is speed endurance. Speed in pencaksilat also needed to anticipating the opponent’s attack. One type of attack that is often used in the pencaksilat match is through kicks. Base on some research conducted, more tha 75% of attack used in the pencaksilat match are attacks using kick techniques. In every pencaksilat match, almost 100% athlete use the technique with different variation to seek victory (R. Ketot, 2003: 71). The speed it should be maintained as long as possible so it can be speed endurance. Speed endurance is a combination of speed work ability and endurance. Harsono (2016:27) explains that the higher endurance in physical component is anaerobic endurance. Its mean, athlete speed endurance must have great endurance and good speed. In order to have great speed endurance, athlete must do exercises with high level of intensity. Sidik (2011:5) explains that the durability of the speed must be maintained in a relatively long duration. At this time, many coaches have been conducting and providing a speed endurance training program to the athlete. However, to measure whether an increase in speed endurance is still many coaches can not yet know. This is due to the absence of standard instruments in measuring speed endurance especially the pencaksilat athlete. This mean measurement process of physical condition its also very important in achieving achievement especially measurements of physical condition. This is in accordance with Nurhasan (2014:11) which explains that there are obstacles in the coaching and training system that must be followed that are not in accordance with the ideal coaching pattern have not utilized the technology maximally, especially in the measurement or regarding instruments as a measurement tool. Measuring instruments used in measurementsshould be able to measure what is beeing measured. So that the collected data has a high level of truth. Djaali (2008: 65) explains that a test or measuring instrument is valid when it can measure what should be measured. Furthermore Sumadi S (2013; 31) describes that data retrieval tool or instrument to determine the quality of data collected and the quality of the data determines the quality of research A coach should know the abilities of his athlete using the correct test and measurement process. This is because the tasks and responsibilities of the coach should have data on each of the elements necessary in a sport that is practiced. To collect valid data, the necessary instruments that have the level of trust and reliability that have been tested. The accuracy of the instrument selection is one of the important factors that must be considered in retrieving data trainer athletes. Terms selecting an instrument that has the ability to evaluate must meet certain characteristics. In this case Sukardi (2010; 29). believes these characteristics are valid, reliable and can be used. One thing that is important to note in the preparation of an instrument is the starting point of the definition of variables to be studied or measured. From the definition of operational variables and next will be determined indacator to be measured (Sugiyono. 2010; 149). This means that the test developed should represent the operational definition of variables to be measured. Similarly, in the use of physical condition tests in the sport. Based on discussions with several pencaksilat coaches that the instrument did not exist in accordance with the branch of pencaksilat. Based on these realities, then comes the ideas to create and develop speed endurance instrument in pencaksilat, especially the teenage athlete. The goal is that the availability of speed endurance instrument capable of measuring in accordance with what is to be measured. And in the end the researchers hope that the instruments developed speed endurance can be used as one of the instruments that have been tested and can actually be used as one of the efforts in advancing the Indonesian pencaksilat accomplishments.

Data collected by questionnaire closed and open. In addition, data obtained by experts interviews. Data analysis technique was done by percentage technique. 3. RESEARCH RESULT The final goal of this research is to design an instrument of physical condition that is kick speed endurance specifically for youthpencaksilat athletes. This instrument was designed based on the analysis of the needs of an instrument to measure the physical condition, especially endurance of kick speeds for pencaksilat athlete. This is because the speed endurance for athletes of martial arts is very important but until now there has not been a special speed kick instument endurance specifically for pencaksilat athlete. Pencaksilat match is conducted over three rounds, each round consists of two net minute, it means starting from the referee gave a downbeat start to cue arrest, time is running normally. During that time the athlete perform various movements to get value such as doing kicks, punches and various efforts to bring down his opponent. If something happened that led to the referee gave a downbeat stop, then stop watch is turned off until the referee gave a downbeat start. The match continues until the gong sounds as a sign of the end of the half. The activity lasted three innings and the break between innings during one minute. Based on the above, the athlete in need of some special physical condition. To be able to perform activities such as hitting, kicking, dodge, and dispelling as well as other movements should be done quickly. In addition to fast, the movements should be done can be done until the match is completed so that the speed should be maintained as long as possible. That is why in pencaksilat is needed especially in the kick speed endurance. In this study, in accordance with the stages arranged in research development is preceded by a preliminary study. The purpose of preliminary studies in this research is to examine and analyze various matters relating to the durability of the speed according to the needs in pencaksilat. Preliminary studies conducted reasearch through various methods, namely, a literature review and Focus Group Discution (FGD) from several experts associated with the research undertaken. In this study the experts involved are expert coaching and exercise physiologist, pencaksilat expert, and measurement test expert and evaluation test in the sport. After the instruments for speed endurance athletes teenage pecaksilatthe authorcompile it is conducted a study and focus group discussions with experts and test the validity of the expert. As for having done so the importance of the input as follows based on expert review are: Expert Coaching and Sport Physiology To view the suitability test with exercise physiology need to study more in order to suit the purpose of the test. This test is similar to the Multi Stage Fitness Test but already has set so that similar methods and recovery intervals. In the execution of tests necessary to measure the pulse of athletes and can do up to level 15. However, in general, this is a good test for measuring the speed endurance. Pencak Silat expert In carrying out the tests, testee is required in the attitude of a good pencaksilat tide because the pencaksilat match are counted or legitimate is an attack that entered legitimate target, fast and powerful. So in the implementation of the test, testee should not doa quick kick of origin but must be with correct and precise movements.
