The document presents an Efficient Tree-based Aggregation and Processing Time (ETAPT) algorithm for enhancing data aggregation in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). It addresses issues of increased data delivery time due to the parent nodes waiting for leaves data, by optimizing the aggregation time based on tree structure, parent positioning, and leaf count. Simulations indicate that ETAPT achieves higher data aggregation gain with reduced energy consumption and end-to-end delay compared to existing methods.
