- 2. SAMPLE STORY Ben walked to school with his sister Amy. She looked in her bag and didn’t see her lunch. She asked Ben to go back home. Ben said, “Don’t worry. Mom put both of our lunches in my bag.” Amy felt relieved and thanked Ben.
- 3. LET’S FIND THE PROBLEM AND SOLUTION Who has the problem? Amy What is her problem? She doesn’t have her lunch in her bag. What is the solution to her problem? Her brother Ben told her that he got their lunches.
- 4. SAMPLE STORY It’s Saturday. Becky and Sarah went to the park to play. When they arrived, they saw that one of the swings was occupied so there’s only one swing left. They both want to use it.

- 6. LET’S FIND THE PROBLEM AND SOLUTION What is the problem? What is the solution to the problem? Sarah let Becky play with the swing first. There is only one swing left and they both want to use it.
- 7. REMEMBER Problem Solution The way of solving a problem. The answer to the problem. It makes the character act differently. It is also called CONFLICT.
