EMPATHY MAP and
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Interview
Interviewed to a senior student, from Instituto
Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de
Monterrey, Campus Ciudad de México.
EMPATHY MAP / SAY
There is uncertainty after graduation; students do not
know what continues.
Students do not know if they are really prepared.
Companies offer very low pay to recent graduates
because they have not experience and graduates
have no experience because there is not employment
for graduates without experience.
EMPATHY MAP / SAY
Graduates work on anything just to gain experience,
so they end up doing things that are not related to
their profession.
The institution where you study makes a difference
but it is not a guarantee.
EMPATHY MAP / DO
He is starting up a business. He will work very hard to
make his business grow.
He is very active in social media.
He takes good care of his appearance, does sports
and goes to the gym.
EMPATHY MAP / THINK
The school should have an exchange program with
companies for students to gain experience.
Some careers are very demanding and do not allow you to
work due the workload of every day at school.
Nobody prepares Students to transition from college to labor
field.
The students need mentors for the transition
EMPATHY MAP / THINK
Students not seeking advice, they think everything will
happen very smooth and then suddenly they realize that
it is not.
Under the same conditions, good physical appearance
makes you have more chances to get the job.
A man has more job opportunities than women
EMPATHY MAP / FEEL
There are not many opportunities for young people.
Graduates are afraid because they go to a labor field
without course.
Graduates are afraid to fail.
Parents and family put pressure
His company will succeed
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Universities do not have programs, that
involve the companies, to prepare and
help their students for the transition from
school to work in real life.
