Archivelog Enable with ASM location:
Log in as âoracleâ user in node 1.
( in my caserac1)
>> check database is in archivelog mode or not by using command :
SQL> archivelog list
Databaselog mode No Archive Mode

Archivedestination USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST
Oldest online log sequence 15

Login to one of the nodes (i.e. rac1) and disable the cluster instance parameter by

SQL> alter systemset cluster_database=falsescope=spfilesid='RAC1';
System altered.
As this a static parameter change will take a bounce of database to
reflect changes.
So shutdown the database (i.e. all instances)
[oracle@rac1 ~]$srvctl stop database -d RAC
(Note: srvctl stop database âd <database unique name>)
[oracle@rac1 ~]$srvctl status database -d RAC âv

- 4. Make log_archive_start parameter âTRUEâ : SQL> alter system set log_archive_start=TRUE SCOPE=SPFILE; System altered. Specify Location of local archive log destination: SQL> alter system set log_archive_dest_1='LOCATION=+FRA' SCOPE=SPFILE; System altered. Then again change the âcluster_databaseâ to TRUE : SQL> alter system set cluster_database=true scope=spfile sid='RAC1';
- 5. System altered. Now bring database to mount state: SQL> alter database mount; Database altered. Now, we set the database to archive log mode: SQL> alter database archivelog; Database altered. We can perform some checks after that⊠SQL> alter database open; Database altered. SQL> shut immediate;
- 6. Database closed. Database dismounted. ORACLE instance shut down. Now log in as âsysdbaâ and check using archive log list command:
