Engineering Syllabus Design Factor
Engineering defines the people who tend to solve
all kinds of basic necessities that an human being
required in a day to day life. You may think that for
these kind of things there can be a general
engineering. But the thing is science evolved the
things around us, learning only a particular
subjects in engineering doesn't make anybody as
an engineer.

Effective course design begins with understanding who your
students are, deciding what you want them to learn; determining
how you will measure student learning; and planning activities,
assignments and materials that support student learning. For all
interactions with students plan ahead by ask yourself:
Who are the students?
What do I want students to be able to do?
How will I measure students’ abilities?
By asking yourself these questions at the onset of your course
design process you will be able to focus more concretely on
learning outcomes, which has proven to increase student learning
substantially as opposed to merely shoehorning large quantities
of content into a quarters worth of class meetings.

Engineering Syllabus Design Factor
Why does a Computer Science student need to
study Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering,
Basic Mechanical Engineering, Engineering
Mechanics, Basic Civil Engineering, Engineering
Graphics, Ecology and Environment in first year?
I mean its 25% of my whole engineering and I don't see
how they are even relevant to my stream!! I can learn so
much more important stuff in that time but right now I
have every single second of it. It almost kills my
enthusiasm for engineering and also comes in my way to
develop my coding skills.
Student view
Maths : Its an absolute world. You can prove things by just logic.
Physics : Its the real world with real problems. Just logic won't always work.
Chemistry : Its an invisible world, yet creating real problems. You need to create
theories first to solve the problems and not just that. You can kind of create magic
too.
Electrical Engineering Computer is nothing a electrical device such as transistors,
inductors, capacitors, microprocessor, controller circuits signals in motherboard
Basic Mechanical engineering It is a diverse subject that derives its breadth from
the need to design and manufacture everything from small individual parts and
devices (e.g., microscale sensors and inkjet printer nozzles) to large systems
Engineering Mechanics Typically, they focus more on the scientific side of things
Basic Civil Engineering to know about buildings where computers laboratories
are installation system design and construction.
Engineering Graphics Technical drawing allows efficient communication among
engineers and can be kept as a record of the planning process. Since a picture is
worth a thousand words, a technical drawing is a much more effective tool for
engineers than a written plan which is useful in multimedia
Ecology and Environment To get knowledge about that every structure built is
environmentally compliant and can withstand earthquakes and hurricanes. This is
especially true in places where these natural calamities often strike
Communication Skill Communication is the process by which we exchange
information between individuals or groups of people. It is a process where we try
as clearly and accurately as we can, to convey our thoughts, intentions and
objectives.
Engineering Syllabus Design Factor
There are gaps which needs to be filled in Indian schooling system,
before adding computer science
Still, comp science is not a regular course in 11th and 12th in many
schools.
Different field of problems and solving them give you a different
outlook at the next problem you solve.
Broad knowledge about applied science and engineering
To know other scientific and engineering field
No own field
To train and expand your mind
To make problem solver from fixed syllabus of school to
application
To make familiar situation to transit in new area
The basics of physics and chemistry in JEE.
Prepare to interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary approach
Employment opportunities in other field
Vast applications
Basic knowledge of building and electrical equipment for Lab.
Installation
Computer graphics for planning and imagination
Experimental knowledge with factual information
Reduces Memorizing
More analytical mind with real proof
VLSI, Semiconductor, packaging, material science, fabrication
signal speeds, thermal coefficient, cooling concerns
Correlation with computer hardware
How hardware works
Related to Memory and memory hierarchies
Selecting appropriate materials
Genetics and bioinformatics based on chemical reaction
To make Jack of all trades before making master of one
Engineering Syllabus Design Factor
Objective less education system
No options to escape
Common understanding of these subjects
Some times loose interest from engineering due to repeating of
subject
No question from computer in entrance test. Even calculator is
not allowed in entrance test
No direct use of these subject
Wastages of time
 Useful when degree is made of three years
Lack of vision
Scope of other valuable subjects of CS branch
Lack with professionalism
Not concerned with recent or future requirement
Rote learning based
Not related to predecessor or successor subjects
Jack of all trades but master of none situation
 No relation with industrial requirement
 professional subjects are not getting due advantage
 level of students are detoriating day by day
 Less analytical and thoughtless approach
Experts lack with present and future understanding
Syllabus maker does not know difference between Science,
Engineering and Technology clearly
Modification interval is large so always outdate
