- 1. Subject: C.A.L.L Date: 28-9-2012 Essay: Education and New Technologies: pedagogical challenges to the digital world. Bear in mind the advance of the world of the technology leads to the implementation of programs designed to include students and teachers to deal with the new challenge of the digital learning. According to the book the “Education and New Technologies: pedagogical challenges to the digital world talk about certain aims concerning to the demands of the technology in the classroom. In addition, the requirements of digital input in the classroom goes beyond of educational proposal taking into account that the society has a very relevant role in the introduction of the new technologies given that they pressure the government to make decisions concern the current situation. Are the teachers, the students and educational buildings prepare to face with the new defy? As far as I am concerned, the educational system is involved in the implementation of the TICs in High schools but there are two main points which they have to deal with: the students’ background and the lack of suitable service providers. As regards the students’ background is very relevant to take into consideration due to the fact that the teachers have to know if the students are able to work with the computers or not given that many students have not access to technological devices as a result of economical trouble. Therefore, the implementation of the TICs in the classroom would only work if the students are introduced progressively in the digital management. Concerning to the lack of suitable service providers in the educational building is a troublesome issue. Meanwhile, a well thought out plan or project must be designed in advance taking in mind the entire problem that it would undergo. That is what I stated above about whether the persons are able to deal with it. The government
- 2. pressured by the society makes unthinkable decisions such as the delivery of computers which were not managed appropriately given that many of them cannot be used by the lack of internet connection. To sum up, all challenge should be accompanied with a suitable support to achieve the goals that someone pursues.
