more of a historical value because it takes place in England during the Seven Years War and we

Kubrick, as usual, masterfully write this feature. You could tell that this is his pet project.
However, the movie does clock in at over three hours and with the lack of action, there can be a
dull moment or two to be had. After all, I feel the aristocratic world can get somewhat boring at
times. That being said, we have Kubrick on the top of his game as he created a valued historical
narrative that remains mostly interesting and our eyes are able to feast on perfect costuming and
successful camera experimenting. Essentially, Kubrick and cinematographer John Alcott shot the
film without the use of electrical light, and that is why the look of the film seemed a bit odd

Aerobic life on earth is only possible thanks to the oxygen produced by the cellular respiration of

In our study we sought to compare the oxygen output of three different types of photosynthetic
organisms, a strain of pea plant, a lichen, and an Elodea sp. to find which species yielded the

does in her free time. He attempts to get the point across that she is continuously taking baths to try
and erase her past. Throughout the play, we find out everything that Blanche has been through and
everything slowly starts making sense as to why she feels the need to erase her past. After going
through her husband being unfaithful, she felt unworthy to be with him or anyone else, not to
mention her husband s suicide. Blanche blamed herself for her husband suicide. After finding him
with another man, she told him that he disgusted her, and his suicide followed those words. This
tore her apart, as it should. Everyone has a past or portion of it that they wish to erase. For
Blanche, she wishes she could erase her husband s suicide which is the significance of the long,
frequent baths. Another symbol Mr. Williams uses is Blanche s obsession with light. She described
her love for her young, belated husband as a blinding light .

Nancy Goldin was born in Washington D.C. on September 12th, 1953 to her Jewish parents and
grew up in middle class Lexington. After attending an alternative school in Lincoln she left home
at the age of 13. Suspicious of love between the male and female sexes and also mourning the
suicide of her sister, she actively looked for a substitute family. While doing so, she became
involved with a group of alienated young teenagers that relied on drugs, sex, and violence.
Nan was first introduced to photography at 15 when a teacher passed out Polaroid cameras to
