William Shakespeare s genius is attributed to his talent in examining human nature
through his works. By weaving certain themes throughout his plays and poems,
Shakespeare indirectly projected messages about the inherent fallacies of mankind.
Such is the case with Macbeth. As classic literature goes, there are numerous themes
found throughout the script. One of the most prevalent (if not the most prevalent)
themes is that of blind ambition. It s justifiable to say that blind ambition is the
driving force of the plot. Nearly every major event in Macbeth was instigated, or, at
the very least, influenced by various characters ambitious tendencies. The characters
decisions, their influence over other characters, and moral degradation all
exemplified the effect that blind ambition had. As stated, Macbeth displays blind
ambition soon after hearing the Weird Sisters prophesy that he will be the king of
Scotland. In Act 1, Scene 4, Macbeth states: Let not light see my black and deep

Susan B. Anthony devoted her life to the rights of women s labor, receiving equal
pay, and leading the women s suffrage movement. She grew up in a home where
politics was frequently discussed. Her family supported an end to slavery as part
of the abolitionist movement. In her early years, she was a teacher and became
involved in the temperance movement as well as the anti slavery movement.
Because she was a woman, she was not allowed to voice her opinion. This became
a motivator for her to become a woman s suffrage leader. A skilled, talented woman
made a difference when she joined forces with Stanton. As mentioned earlier,
Stanton and Anthony opposed the fourteenth and fifteen amendments for not

The Sirens of Titan The book I chose for my third book report is The Sirens of
Titan , a 326 page novel by Kurt Vonnegut. I chose this book because initially the
synopsis caught my interest and I had heard a great deal about the writing of
Vonnegut although, I had never actually read any of his works. I thought, based on
the theme of the story, that it would be an interesting read; despite my tendency to
read books outside of the science fiction genre, I figured I would try something
new and give this book a chance. The title is a peculiar one to me seeing as the
story hardly addresses the sirens in full, let alone gives enough significance to them
to be worthy of the title. The sirens are only brought up on occasion and do not add
anything too vital to the story. I only have the vaguest of ideas as to why Vonnegut
would select this as his title. All I can interpret from it is that it s a reflection on how
the protagonist cares for only insignificant and petty things like wealth and attraction
rather than any imperative and genuine world issues. The story takes place in the
22nd century on the planets of Earth, Mars, briefly on Mercury, and on Titan, the
moon of Saturn. The story centers around Malachi Constant, a rich, egocentric, young
man with twisted morals who has had everything in his life handed to him. He cares
little for the welfare of others and this is exemplified throughout the duration of the

snail. When most people write about love it is full of life and color; however,
Thomas Hardy writes of death in his experience with love in his poem, Neutral
Tones. It is a dramatic monologue poem written in the 1800s and is in first person.
The title of the poem clearly points out the neutrality of a colorless failing love. In
addition, the poem focuses on describing the events of how the couple ends the
relationship and of how it is beyond repair. The lines of the poem gently explain
what it is like for the author to experience such a dying love. It is effectively written
in a way that the reader can feel the hurt and pain as Hardy explains the sorrow and
bitterness as the lovers end the relationship. In Neutral Tones, Thomas Hardy uses
setting, imagery, and symbolism to illustrate the death of love in his poem.

1. Introduction The sensor nodes in a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) are used for
surveillance of ambient environment, which can be unpredictable. The sensor nodes
