- 2. Our thriller holds the audiences attention mainly through the use of its enigma and the unanswered questions which it has throughout the whole opening mainly being the question of why the boy has been kidnapped and also why the criminal has to hold him for a ransom, the audience wants to find out what is motivating the plot and the reasons behind everything, the thriller also holds the audiences attention at the end of the opening as well thanks to the cliff-hanger which would then motivate them to go on and watch the rest of the movie to find out the fate of the boy which was tied up. I also feel like the slow and evenly paced editing between all of the shots captures and hold the audiences attention as they will not be put off by editing which is too fast paced and editing which might be too slow paced. HOW DOES YOU THRILLER HOLD THE AUDIENCES ATTENTION?
- 3. The audience would want to carry on watching the rest of the film in order to find out the fate of the boy and what has become of him, also they would want to watch the rest in order to find out the reasons as to the kidnapping in the first place and the reason as to why Sam was chosen to be kidnapped out of everybody else. I also believe that they would want to carry on watching to find out the kidnappers side of the story and why he has turned to a life of crime and why he chose this way of earning money. WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO CARRY ON WATCHING AFTER YOUR OPENING HAS ENDED?
- 4. The audience which I showed the film to was my parents, grandparents and friends which are not in this lesson or are not in the school so they did not have part in it, all of the people which I showed the film to all said that they liked the ominous feelings and atmosphere as well as the eerie background music and sound effects which happened throughout the film. My mum also said that she thought the tied up scene was pretty good and very well done especially with the lighting. WRITE ABOUT YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK, WHAT DID THEY SAY THE ENJOYED?
