- 1. How did you attract/address your audience?
- 2. To attract my target audience to 'Vinyl' magazine, I hoped it people would be interested in the bands that were included on my Front Cover, because ultimately, people often buy music magazines depending on whether they are actually interested in the artists that are included within the content of the magazine.
- 3. So because of this, I have included different bands from the 'indie/alternative' guitar music scene, such as Renaissance, who's genre comprises guitar based music, rather than 'synth‘ and this is because traditionally my music caters for more music in the style of guitars rather than synth, and one main reason for this is because my magazine who tries to attract people, who enjoy alternative music different cultures, such as the 1980's and The Jam, who played music with their, whereas in the 1980's 'indie/alternative' music wasn't so 'synth' as mainstream 'pop' such as Pet Shop Boy's would use 'synth' textures within their music, and a band such as Pet Shop Boy's would not be the typical band you'd expect to see included in 'Vinyl' magazine.
- 4. Also in the first issue of 'Vinyl' I have included bands such as The Strokes who first hit the scene 10 years ago, and also Blur, who started to making their way to the forefront of British music 20 years ago, both bands still remain very popular, so I believed my including these bands, it would hopefully attract people to my magazine from both era's.
- 5. I also attempted to use some 'punchy' lines that would be persuade the people to buy 'Vinyl' magazine when they come across it, and use plugs that would tempt and interest readers into buying the magazine, in case they want to Pete Doherty may have finally took his final bow to drugs. Also plugs such as The Maccabees, and how they plan to play the stadiums one day. So hopefully readers will se these plug lines, which will influence and force them to buy 'Vinyl' magazine.
