Existing System
In existing BOM (Billing of Material) manual inventory system
relies heavily on the actions of people, which increases the possibility of human error.
People might forget to record a transaction or simply miscount the number of goods. This
results in needless additional orders that increase the company's inventory carrying costs
and use up precious storage space. Inaccurate physical counts could also result in not
ordering enough of a product, meaning the business could run out of a crucial item at the
wrong time.
With personal firewalls users need to know how to configure
them to achieve optimum security. Improper configuration may render a personal firewall
useless. Many firewalls usually display prompts to alert users of unauthorized incoming
or outgoing traffic whether safe or unsafe. If a user cannot tell whether such traffic is
unsafe, he or she may allow dangerous traffic to enter or leave the computer. When
firewall software is installed on several computers such as in a large organization, it can
be difficult to ensure that each and all of them are updated and properly configured. A
disadvantage of manual inventory systems is that they can be highly labor-intensive to
operate. They require continuous monitoring to ensure that each transaction is accounted
for and that products are maintained at the appropriate stocking levels. It is also more
difficult to share inventory information throughout the business, because the lack of
computerization makes accessing inventory records a more cumbersome process. The
time spent monitoring inventory levels could be used on more productive activities for
the business.
A manual system gives a small business owner a greater sense of
control. Rather than relying on a computer to indicate when it's time to reorder, the owner
can manage the process on his own. The need to view his merchandise on a regular basis,
such as when counting stock before placing an order, gives him the opportunity to assess
the condition of his merchandise, reducing the chance of a customer receiving damaged
goods.
Drawbacks of Existing Methods
Even the smallest businesses need to implement some form of inventory
control system to keep an accurate merchandise count, as well as for accounting
purposes. Business owners generally have a choice between using a computerized and a
manual inventory system. A manual system offers a number of potential advantages and
disadvantages.
 Search Complexity in manual record information retrieval
 Lack of Information while doing all the works in manual, need more
reference for taking
 No Firewall Secured, so that database can be accessed by anyone at
anytime. This leads to insufficient of security

PROPOSED METHOD:
In the proposed system, all the drawbacks in the existing
were overcome. Being able to manage the large amount of information generated by
BOM can be overwhelming. Reporting engine is flexible, easy to use, and most
importantly, comprehensive using group moment pattern. The professional reports
generated contain meaningful, easy to read, real-time information that will help you make
better management decisions.
All data can be run in summary or detail mode for any date range
eliminating redundant reports and confusing lists to choose from. The explorer-like report
manager allows quick and easy access to any report, and allows you to group your
favourite reports to be run in batch mode. For those who need access to even the smallest
piece of information, all reports allow for custom filters, which would narrow the
information on any of the existing reports. And it contains centralized data access control
to store all the information perfectly in the database.
Secured BOM ensures access to your information with the
ability of using the Internet to view your data. Either post reports to a web site of your
choice or configure Web based reporting engine that enables you to access your data over
the Internet or your corporate Intranet in real-time. Extremely efficient and very secure,
this tool is contributing to reduced remote management costs.

customize the layout of your order screens with an easy-to-use design tool. User can
change the size, color or position of any of the screen components such as the item grid,
