This study conducted an experimental analysis of tear fluid from multiple sclerosis (MS) patients, utilizing methods such as liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and Raman spectroscopy. Key findings included a decrease in tryptophan and phenylalanine in the tear fluid of MS patients and changes in protein profiles, indicating inflammation. The research suggests that analyzing tear proteins could be a valuable tool for the non-invasive diagnosis and understanding of MS.
