Mositsa Embracing the triumph of difference and living only to be unique Greetings and welcome to this month’s issue based on difference which is one of the gifts one should always appreciated and cherish in life. Move along as we tackled and embark on this topic with the hope that it triggers something within you. I believe that all your failures, luck, achievements, character, pride, ego, happiness, strife, ignorance, moral values and moral conscience make you who you are and an exceptionally different figure. I wished much not to call it uniqueness before anything else but rather, first before all, allow me to call it difference. Difference is a peculiar element of life which we are all at luck to possess. Imagine firstly, a world where everything is the same, where we share the same notions and tastes. Would life be really fair? The diversity vested within us in ideas and beliefs, in behaviour and moral conscience gives us much, a reason to celebrate the fact that we are different from one another and each represent a figure of diversified ideas and an eye for an independent way of living. Difference qualifies you a monument of personal uniqueness for it sets you apart from your brother, your mother and everyone within your blood line. EXPLORE Difference to me I say, is a weapon you can use to push aside all the excuses and generational curses circulating around your family. For you also are different, stand out to not shift the blame from your side to the failures of your the past generations. Every individual within every instant generation is the architect of their own destiny and should not live up to the expectation of being an heir of generational legacies. Your difference means your uniqueness, it means that you are designated to achieve a different given duty per your God given capabilities and do not let that fade away as you run astray from your calling. I figured that we should celebrate difference for it is an exclusive package element. Your passion for singing, you have it because you are different, that is why your brother is fond of swimming rather than singing. Your generosity and passion, embrace them, cherish them and marvel for they make you a unique creation and give you a rare identity. There can never be another somebody, someone who perfectly matches your character, appearance and moral awareness. Cherish your unique identity as a priceless creation, a God chosen. Edition 2 Of course we all go through trials as part of our day to day life, but through them all, say from the bottom of your heart and with faith that, trials and tribulation may come my way, tempest and clouds of thick darkness may be covering my light but this above all, gladly and proudly say to yourself, ‘I am a perfected creation, a masterpiece’. You are a never seen before creation and for that, live to leave behind, a firm foundation of a ‘good thing’. Live to let live for your life is fuelled much by difference. Take pride in your uniqueness and acknowledge that difference is victory on a silver platter. This is for that, though you are different from your peers in academic excellence and social awareness or engagement, you are a representation of the splendour of the Creator. You are a story of possibility, witnessing revelation every dawn of days that will come to pass, witnessing His majestic grace when you get to see the end of every day. Every dawn of a new God-given day, give recognition and acknowledgement to the fact that you are sole-owner of that particular character you possess, given it channel you to greater good and preserve not only your identity, but your dignity and making you a decent person. Difference is a victory of personal freedom, for you to live without limits and defeat all the odds, all the way. It is freedom at personal level for you to spread wide your creativity and mental capability and think possibility, positivity and capability.
- 2. For you to believe that through positive situational approach, you are capable and thus entitled to attain the possible and beyond such a measure. Key is awareness, being aware that yes you are a different creation and standing to celebration it through mental and ideological innovation and eliminating the comfort of a rocking chair mentality. Think different, live different and speak difference and the world will see you as such for you are all you live and speak. A gangster if you live like one, a pagan if you do likewise and therefore shall be deemed and liar if you so can’t help it rolling your tongue about. Surprisingly, at social level, be it within one’s family, community or social club, difference is being given the back. So little appreciation has been given to the fact that every individual is unique and such uniqueness should reflect within a given collective of individuals. Our difference, perhaps in ideas can at some stages mean that we get to contrast the next person’s perceptions, but let’s celebrate it anyway. Take pride in it anyway and carry it around you all along, all the way. Of course contradictions are bound to happen and we can do non much about them. It all comes with the whole package of not only being titled different, but really living exceptionally and uniquely. Do not be limited by the social background and the expectation carried by your peers or the company you keep. Be extraordinary and exercise your right of expressing you difference and not getting to conform to a certain standard set by EXPLORE a certain collective of individuals. Set a standard that will set you apart, a standard that exceeds social expectations. Be fuelled to rise high above social measures and climb atop higher horizons. This is for you are the architect of your own destiny and every day you live, you are writing your fate with your own hand. Should we were all the same, we would just let a few work their days and nights out knowing we are all counted, but difference, what a wonder you are. Do not fight to be counted as moving with the crowd, be counted as moving against them and persue your own destiny. Let not your goals be shared by a collective and persue a goal according to how your peers perceive you. Their view of your life and way of living is entirely different from your own perspective; of course they are entitled to their own opinions. Do not follow the lead of opinionated ideologies, they are often not true about who you really are. Let the spirit of individual difference dictate what lead to follow. I really and highly like to stress the point of one fearing to be different because they think difference keeps them in isolation and thus prone to being socially rejected. I actually think it is not isolation, it is awareness in that the social get to realize that there exist a hierarchy and standard of character and ‘class’. You are now set apart and being rewarded by your noble character and given a class reception by trials of life, sorrows and bitterness. Very much for the perks of choosing to be different, but truly, really what sets one so highly apart Edition 2 is whether they have with them, the God ordained spirit that channels them, that leads them and that which guides and protect them from harm and trials. For with him, we are victors and conquerors. Friend, I tell you this now; do not get carried away by the deluded perception of the public. Make your own choices and don’t get confined within the walls of confusion as you try to conform to public standards. Be moved not by the current that sweeps everyone around, stand your ground and leave not that pillar (noble character) as you race to your predestined peak. Establish your own pace that conforms to your desires and move not as fast as I move, as your friend moves or a slow as I move or as does the next person. We all have different paces for our own different and sometimes personal reasons. Do not live to match the next person’s pace, it strips you of your uniqueness for you fail your right of being entitled to different thoughts and way of handling life matters. Follow your own path; create your own destiny that leaves behind a firm standing legacy to last ages. May the Lord our God guide us as we seek our lives as people, who celebrate, embrace and cherish the gift importance of being different
