THE TASKBAR
The taskbar is
the bar found on
the bottom of the
desktop.
HOW TO HIDE THE TASKBAR?
1. Right-click on any unused
space of the taskbar.
2. Unchecked the Lock the
taskbar option to hide the
taskbar.
USING THE SEARCH FEATURE
Search button – found
beside the Start button.
THE SYSTEM TRAY
System Tray –
found on the
right side of the
taskbar and
contains smaller
icons which
corresponds to
system actions.

accessed.
USING FILE EXPLORER
RENAMING A FILE OR FOLDER
Right-click > Rename
DELETING FILES AND FOLDERS
Right-click > Delete
DELETING FILES AND FOLDERS
RECYCLE BIN
The Recycle Bin is a
repository for files that
are not yet permanently
deleted. Files that enter
the Recycle still consume
hard drive’s space until
they are permanently
deleted.
DELETING FILES AND FOLDERS
Shortcut key:
Ctrl + Delete
RESTORING DELETED FILES OR
FOLDERS
Shortcut key:
Right-click > Restore
COPYING OR MOVING FILES OR FOLDERS
Copying – means duplicating the file.
Moving – means the same file is transferred to a different location.
Shortcut key:
Ctrl + C = copy
Ctrl + X = cut
Ctrl + V = paste

PROGRAMS are applications that are installed in the computer.
They can do simple to complex tasks based on what they have
programmed to do.

Editor's Notes

  • #4: It contains the Start button, a few task buttons, the icons of minimized programs, and many more.
  • #5: What are you going to do if u want to hide the taskbar?
  • #6: Whe the search windows shows up, the user can start typing keywords of the file or program she is looking for. Simply start typing keywords and windows will automatically search.
  • #7: The right most part of the SY always contains the date and time. Theres also a date and time settings link where the date and time settings can be changed.
  • #8: Other items are Speaker settings where the speaker volume can be controlled Battery – it shows the percentage left of the battery and its operation time Brightness – to adjust the brightness of the screen
  • #9: Included in this pane are
  • #10: The File Explorer can be found in the Start Menu. It is used to navigate the different files and folder in the operating system.
  • #11: To rename a folder or file, first do right click the file then choose rename from the options. The file or folder name will then be editable and the user can now change the name. Of the file is open it cannot be renamed. U must close the file first, before renaming it.
  • #12: Files and folders can be deleted by right-clicking on its icon, then choosing delete from the drop down. A faster way to delete a file is by simply clicking its icon, then pressing Delete key on the keyboard.
  • #13: Read first > Now if you delete a file it will go the Reycle bin.
  • #14: To permanently delete a file, access the file via the RB, then delete the file from there again.
  • #15: If you accidentally deleted a file, u can just simply trigger the keyboard combination ______ to undo the action. Now If the file has been deleted for quite some time, and has already been in the Recycle Bin, the only way to restore it back is by going to the Recycle Bin. The the restored file will be sent back to the folder where it was deleted.
  • #16: Files and folders can be copied or moved to another location. To copy a file or folder, right click on its icon, then select Copy. Then, go to the new folder location, right click on any black area then select paste. Video in desktop.

  • #18: Programs can cater different purposes. They can be used for productivity or work such as clicl. They can be use to browse
