The study investigates the Soxhlet extraction method for obtaining essential oil from neem seeds using various organic solvents, including ethanol and hexane. Results indicate that a mixture of ethanol and hexane provides the highest oil yield of 43.71% at specific conditions, with factors like particle size, temperature, and extraction time significantly influencing the yield. Physico-chemical properties of the oil were also assessed, highlighting the potential of different solvent combinations for effective extraction.
