A Step-by-Step How to Guide
FACEBOOK CONVERSION TRACKING
Step 1: Log-in to Facebook Ads
• Select the “Tools” drop down menu

Step 2: Open Pixel Creator
• Click “Pixels” within the “Tools” drop down
menu

Step 3: Create a Pixel
• Choose the objective for your campaign
• Click “Create a Pixel”

Step 4: Name the Pixel
• Give your pixel a descriptive name
• Click “Install Pixel Now” to access the code

Step 5: Copy and Paste Tracking Pixel
• Copy the tracking code snippet and place it
into the HTML of your webpage just before
the closing </head> tag on each page you
want to track

Step 6: Add Conversion Tracking
• Copy the code for the event you want to
track
• Paste it after the pixel code on the web
pages where you want to track the action

Step 7: Create a Conversion Campaign
• Choose “Increase conversions on your
website” as the campaign objective
• Enter the URL of your website

Step 8: Select a Conversion Event
• Choose the conversion that you want to
optimize from the drop down menu (ex: Lead)
• Click “Continue”

Step 9: Access Facebook Ads Reporting
• Go to the “Manage Ads” tab in the Facebook
Ads dashboard
• Select “All Campaigns” from the Filter drop
down menu

• Click the “Columns” dropdown menu
• Select “Customize Columns”

Step 11: Add Metrics to Dashboard
• Go to the “Websites” section
• Select the conversion metrics that you want
to add to your reporting dashboard
• Click “Apply”

Step 12: View Conversion Data
• Any metrics that you added to your reporting
dashboard can be found on the right side of
the table

Facebook Conversion Tracking: A Step-by-Step How to Guide
