PROFILES V.S. PAGES

Profile
Your profile is your personal page, it is how you
connect with friends and family. You share
content, see what others are doing, contact
others through email, chat, messages.
You also have the ability to personalize your
account with multiple add-ins to enhance your
Facebook experience.
PROFILES V.S. PAGES
Page
A page is for businesses/organizations or celebrities. There are many limitations to
having a page but if you are a business you are required to have one. You can see
your fans, those who follow you but cannot see their personal pages – only their
public information.

Messages can be sent and fans can write on your wall however view is limited.
Pages come with an analytical tool to track engagement and measure content
against one another.
Social media plugin apps and tab customization allow for businesses to
personalize their pages.
PROFILES & PAGES - SIMILARITIES

 Friends and Fans can write on your wall.
 You can have private message conversations with friends and
fans.
 Both accounts allow for Cover Photos and Profile Pictures.
 You can share and distribute content
and information about your
business.

Page

 You are connected to your
friends and can view their
profiles.

 Those who like you are your
fans and you can only view
their public information.

 You can add friends and
request friends to connect with
you.

 As an admin you can send page
requests to your friends but
fans have to like your page.
 You can track analytics to see
the demographics of who is
following you and how they
engage with your posts.
