"Falling" Example Production/Project Pitch
- 1. Falling Production Company- FREENJOY INC Writer- Harry Styles & Kid Harpoon Director- Dave Meyers 1.3 Project Summary Caitlynne Harrington
- 3. Concept Line Distraught young man sings as a weeping piano fills a dimly lit vintage room with water, essentially drowning him in his sorrows.
- 4. Talent Harry Styles (Key Member “Star”) Harry has starred in several of his own music videos as well as the band One Directions. Some of which include his 2017 song “Kiwi” Music video as well as also starring as an actor in the 2017 war film “Dunkirk”. Harry was a wonderful fit for the music video “Falling” as he is the original writer and subject of the song. This is also the key reason he is a perfect individual for our target audience, this is based solely on name recognition.

Talent Dave Meyers (Director) Dave Meyers has had a very long career and has contributed to several notable projects including music videos such as Ariana Grandes 2018 video short “God Is A Woman”, Billie Eilishs 2019 Vertical version video short “Bad Guy”, as well as another Harry Styles video short 2019 “Adore You”. Dave Meyers is an excellent director choice for this music video as he has prior experience working first hand with the artist cand “star” of the video. He also holds more than 20 years of experience in the music and entertainment industry. For our target audience he is well associated with several current award winning artists and music videos making him extremely recognizable to a large demographic.
- 6. Talent Kid Harpoon (Writer) Kid Harpoon, also known as Thomas Edward Percy Hull is a well known writer. Some of his most notable projects is being a contributing writer to another one of Harry Styles 2020 songs “Golden” as well as a contributing writer to several Shawn Mendes songs such as 2016 “Roses”. Aside from the close friendship he shares with the “Star” of this music video, he is also the co-writer of several songs within this genre of music, which is also a compelling reason why the same target audience would be attracted to his work. Several songs he has contributed to have also had award nominations these including the Brits and Grammys

Talent Fuliane Petikyan (Producer) Fuliane Petikyans most notable projects include being one of the primary producers of the 2019 MTV music video of the year Taylor Swifts “You Need To Calm Down”. She is also the well known producer of 2018 short music video “For You” by Liam Payne feat: Rita Ora for the film “Fifty Shades Freed” soundtrack. Having produced such well known music videos that created such phenomenons in the music industry. I feel that she would be an individual that any artist aspiring to portray a strong message in a music video would most defiantly want her to be a part of the team. As much of Fuliane Petikyans’ work in music videos portrays a progressive and ever evolving viewpoint of the world I feel it would appeal strongly to this demographic.

Talent Nathan Scherrer (Producer) Nathan Scherrer is well known for his production work involved in the 2020 music video, Ariana Grande “Positions” as well as the 2021 music video, “Best Friend” by Saweetie Feat Doja Cat where he was the executive producer. Nathan Scherrer would make a great fit for our team, he is a 3 time Grammy winner for the best music video, alongside being nominated 9 other times. His work currently involves several new and upcoming artists such as Doja Cat and Chloe x Halle that appeal strongly to this generation and demographic making him a good choice for our audience.

Differentiating Factor Harry Styles “Falling” is like Taylor Swifts “Cardigan” but with a strong vintage renaissance feel rather than a mythical forest atmosphere. “Falling”, rather than other music videos that may tell a clear identifiable beginning, middle and end story; comes off more as a work of art with its elegant portrayal of one mans true vulnerability. With this having a strong direct effect on his audience.
