This paper presents a novel technique for estimating the direction-of-arrival (DOA) of signals in a uniform linear antenna array when some elements are malfunctioning. The method integrates singular value thresholding (SVT) for matrix completion with the matrix pencil (MP) method to recover the complete data and estimate DOA, demonstrating improved performance under various failure scenarios. Simulation results highlight the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed strategy in practical applications such as radar, sonar, and wireless communication.
