INTRODUCTION TO BLOOMBOX
Bloom Box is an Electricity generator created by
BloomEnergy company in 2010.
The Founders of the company are
K.R.Sridhar C.E.O , John Finn, Matthias
Gottmann, James McElroy, Dien Nguyen.
It was initially called as Ion America and
renamed in 2006 as BloomEnergy.

HOW DOES A BLOOMBOX SERVER WORK?
BloomBox server is a electricity generator that
produces electricity through chemical reaction
by using electrochemical cells or fuel cells.
The electrochemical consists of Anode,Cathode.
When a fuel is flows through the anode side a
chemical reaction is triggered and makes the
electrons to flow through the fuel cells circuit.
CHEMICAL REACTION OF FUEL CELLS:
ADVANTAGES OF BLOOMBOX
Higher Efficiency:
BloomBox converts Natural gas or renewable
biogas into electricity without combustion using
fuel cells.
Lower CO2 Emission:
Greater efficiency means lesser fuel consumed
but the output is same and as the combustion
decreases,CO2 emission also decreases.

No Smog Forming:
 Bloom Box Server virtually eliminating smog forming
particulates and harmful Nox and Sox emissions that are
emitted by conventional power plants.These invisible
emissions cause smog asthma and harmful to human
health.
Small Physical FootPrint:
 When comparing bloombox to large centralized power
plants it only take a small footprint, that is bigger than a car
parking.
 They are located onsite and eliminating Transmission and
Distribution losses.
 It is very suitable for urban areas.
Water Savings:
One of the important aspects of bloom box
energy is water savings.It also offers
extraordinary water savings.
Bloom technology does not uses water to
startup during normal operation.
INSTALLATION OF BLOOMBOX SERVER:
The company stated that its first customer was
Google and they shipped 100Kw servers to them
in July 2008.
Thus, Google became the first customer of
BloomEnergy.
They installed a A1-Server System at yahoo in
Sunnyvale,California in 2014 and it is designed
to produce one third of the electricity for yahoo
headquarters.
COST OF BLOOMBOX SERVER:
On 24 February 2010, Sridhar claimed that
his devices were making electricity for
$0.08–.10/kWh using natural gas, cheaper
than today's electricity prices in some parts
of the United States, such as California.
