GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ASSESSMENT
• The survey and assessment concentrated on Manned Posting, Procedural and
Processes, Electronic Security Integration and Physical Security Systems.
• Aspects that were addressed included Perimeter Security, Access control,
security lighting, doors and windows, security technology, CCTV & security
documentation
RISK ASSESSMENT HIGHLIGHTS
• Conduct a complex physical security assessment and identify the
current risk profile
• Identify and highlight all possible vulnerabilities and threats and
recommendations for mitigating such risks.
But for the purpose of this presentation, we will concentrate on the following
• CCTV
• ACCESS CONTROL & BOOMS
PRIORITY AREAS
Corridors and Walkways (203 – 211, 307 – 312, 314 – 326, etc.)
Perimeter Areas (Various Car Parks, Driveways, Main Compound.)
Installations (IT Server Room, Plant Areas, Fuel Dump Area)
Laboratory (Physico Chemical, Micro Lab and Medical Devices)
Reception (Main reception Area & Main & Inner Reception Entrance)
Other Important Office entrances (CEO, Accounts, Server Room, etc.)
DESIGN CRITERIA – ACCESS CONTROL
CEO’s Office Entrance
All Entrances to the Labs – 8 entrances in all
IT Server Room
DESIGN CRITERIA - CCTV
The design will take the height above the target, distance to the
target and the scene width in consideration
Each camera will be set for the pixel density that provides the best
balance between quality and bandwidth usage.
DESIGN CRITERIA – CCTV – PERIMETER ARES
 The routes and areas within the perimeter of the premises will be
monitored by PTZ & Bullet cameras. They will provide clear images of
people and activities going on around those areas.
DESIGN CRITERIA – CCTV – MAIN ENTRANCE
 The main access routes used by vehicles, staff and visitors will be
monitored by Static & LPC cameras. They will provide clear images of
vehicles, visitors and staff entering and leaving premises.
DESIGN CRITERIA – CCTV – CORRIDORS, LABS
 High resolution dome cameras will be installed in corridors, labs,
reception and server room. The cameras will provide details of
individuals on these areas.
