This document summarizes Brittney Minor's field assignment on various geological topics including fault lines, mechanical and chemical weathering, mass wasting and erosion, sedimentary environments, and practical uses of geology. Brittney observed a minor dip-slip fault line in Coalinga, California that was impacted by thermal expansion weathering. Samples from her yard showed evidence of oxidation chemical weathering. Photos documented mass wasting in Los Gatos Creek and different sedimentary environments like the marine environment at Pismo Beach and continental environment at Yosemite's Lower Falls. The Pismo Beach pier was discussed as a practical use of geology.
