- 3. FieldDensityMethod Procedure: 1. First find the weight of empty proctor mold. (W1- in Kg) 2. Fill the proctor mold with dry sand. 3. Now again weight this proctor mold filled with sand. . (W2- in Kg) 4. Find the volume of proctor mold. (V1) For Dry unit weight of sand W2-W1/V1 (kg/m3)
