DYNASTIC
PERIOD
It includes the first two
dynasties, and covers the
year 3100 to 2650 BC.

with the unification of
Egypt by King Menes.
ANCIENT EMPIRE
The Ancient Period of Egypt goes from
the year 2635 to 2155 BC.
This period, known as the "age of the
pyramids", spans from the III to the VI
dynasty.
During Dynasties III and IV Egypt lived
a golden age, in which without
wars, everyone worked to please their
pharaoh.
Later the 3 great Pyramids of Giza
were built: Cheops, Khafre and
Menkaure.
During the 6th dynasty the power of the
pharaohs diminished and the unity of
the country began to fade.
During the 9th and 10th dynasties the
capital of Egypt was Ihnasia.
MIDDLE KINGDOM
The Middle Kingdom developed between 2061
and 1785 BC.
During this time Egypt extended its borders by
conquering a part of Nubia.
Later, after not resisting the Hyksos
attacks, they ceded power to them.
NEW KINGDOM
Between 1551 and 1080 BC, the New Kingdom encompasses the 18th-
20th dynasties.
The 18th dynasty begins with the expulsion of the Hyksos to Kadesh by
King Ahmosis, a king who had maintained his power in Thebes.
The most important pharaohs of the period were Thutmose III ,
Amenhotep III and Ramses II.
During the reign of Ramses II, Egypt conquered Nubia and built the
temples of Abu Simbel.
At his death, a series of successive Ramses were deteriorating
Egypt, which was losing the greatness that it had previously gained.

The Chinese Empire, also known as

between late 1915 and early 1916 to
restore the country's imperial
tradition, interrupted by the arrival of
the Republic of China in 1912.
These two cases should not be
confused, even if they are two
phases of the political life of the
same nation. In this article, we will
focus on the vast imperial tradition
of ancient China.
