Final Reflection Project
- 2. Zodiak USA is one of the top leading television production companies in America. Zodiak Media was created in June 2010 after RDF Media Group was purchased and merged with Zodiak Entertainment. Zodiak is a television company which primarily focuses on entertainment, reality, game-show, lifestyle, talk-show and drama.
- 3. Attend weekly production meetings. Distribute production equipment to Tru TV headquarters. Edit camera log videos using Final Cut Pro. Perform rough cuts, story beats and transcripts. Learn the aspects of television production and reality programming.
- 4. Interning at Zodiak USA. Editing videos using Final Cut Pro. Completing my first story beat & rough cut.
- 5. Generating a plot using footage shot in the field. Figuring out where video packages fits in the story. Creating a story sequence that blends everything together. Making quick decisions and cutting clips from the video. Editing video using Mac PCs. Performing video logs for reality television. Completing rough cuts and deleting footage to create a story. Learning how to operate Final Cut Pro.
- 7. Enhance my desire to work in television production. I learned that I prefer sitcoms opposed to reality television. I am passionate about movies and film and this internship is guiding me in the right direction. I determined to work in television however, I can picture myself starting a career in sports production as well.
- 8. Handling video equipment and running errands for company. Learned how to edit video using Final Cut Pro. Performed story beats and rough cuts. Trained in reality programming and how to produce a successful reality show. Gained hands on experience preparing edits and completing camera log videos.
- 9. Set up edits and produce video footage. I learned the aspects of post-production including finalizing video package. Review and prepare logging videos. Trained in Final Cut Pro and edit story beats for reality shows. Gained knowledge of the tri-state area and the business of television.
- 10. I plan to continue learning about production. I am driven to master editing using Final Cut Pro. I determined to gain more hands on experience working in television industry. I intend to compose scripts, create story boards and perfect video editing.
