How did my production skills
develop throughout the project?

Research
 Before we started making our film opening we looked
at a number of films which were of the same genre to
our film: a thriller/action film. I looked at a number of
opening sequences which gave me inspiration to help
me when planning our own opening sequence.
 To do this I looked at art of the title to see how other
opening sequences have been created.

Research
 When creating our preliminary exercises it allowed us
to get used to the range of technology and techniques
that we would be using when creating our production
for real these included camera work, editing skills and
lighting. As part of this I made a practice table-top title
sequence as well as making a sequence which consisted
of a varity of different shots like tracking, high angle
and low angle shots.

Planning
 When planning we also created a story board, call
sheet, list of locations and shot list, These helped
organize us when we were filming our production. The
story board allowed us to put down all our ideas in one
place. The call sheet allowed us to tell our actors when
and where they were needed. The list of locations
allowed us to plan in greater detail how our production
would look. The shot list allowed us to know what type
of shots and where the shots would take place this also
allowed us to double check that all the props we needed
in a scene were correct.

Construction
 When filming our production we used a cannon camera
and a tripod. We set up this camera in a number of
high profile London locations. We also used a number
of handheld shots and high angled shots as we wanted
to build suspense so that the audience felt like they
were part of the film through the chase scene.
 During construction we also decided to create a film
poster and a website for our production this allowed us
to create a more professional looking final product.

Editing
 Throughout the construction process I became more
familiar with the use of iMovie. My skills improved
from our practice attempts before being able to make a
quality finished product. I learnt how to shorten clips
and how to remove or add sound to clips when we
wanted it as well as adding a boarder around our cctv
scene. I also learnt how to add credits into our
production to make it look professional.
