Everland Motto: Pax adamo aequus felix felicis libertas (Peace, love, pleasure, equality, fortunate, happiness, liberty)
Political Development
Enforcing Laws & Form of Government Police force: enforces laws Political leaders will be elected based on overall votes Only people 18+ years old will be able to vote in these elections
Laws Include: No stealing All children (ages 3-18, unless specially permitted not to) must attend school No killing No littering No drugs allowed (if not prescribed by a certified doctor) No immigrants unless specially accepted (all people wishing to become citizens must apply to the government)
Economic Development
Currency People in our utopia will pay with money similar to the United States system of currency. The only difference is that our money system will have no coins only paper money and the checking and banking system. We will still have money lending and interest as well.
Social classes We would like everyone to earn their selves their own individual earnings. This means there will be many different levels on the social class pyramid. However every so often we will tax the wealthiest of our citizens more than usual and use the taxes to improve the life of the poorer to give them another chance in life.
Resources We will use trees for money not houses or paper. We will have our education based on technology so we do not use paper (trees). We will use bricks and other materials not paper to build houses or any other objects that require wood. We will also plant many plants and environmentally helpful materials. In addition, we will spend some money on filtering the water from the ocean so we may drink some water. This increases drinking water for everyone and this is essential to our lives.
Taxes/Services We will have taxes for everyone except the poorest part of our economy so we will all have a chance to get to the same spot in our economic system. Taxes will be charged for the amount of water, electricity and gases you use. Taxes will sponsor everything we need. We will provide community composts, curbside recycling/trash collecting system, local police forces, a mailing system, sewage systems, roads, education and medical care.
Religious Development
Religion In our utopia, there won’t be any established religion Building off of the situation in which people of our society are ethical, and don’t need religion to be ethically motivated Ethical: motivation is based on ideas of right and wrong
Reasons Wars/violent disagreements are shown to often occur due to religion (when there are multiple religions) The problem with one religion is that it will slowly develop into multiple religions Certain areas of science would develop more fully (in the case of the lack of some possible religious beliefs) (other than no need for motivation to be ethical)
Disadvantages Religion brings people together Religion can help people get major accomplishments done Religion can encourage people to behave more ethically In our utopian society, people are ethical and don’t require religion This may be accomplished by teaching ethics in schools
Guidelines For Behavior There will be well known guidelines for being a good person/proper etiquette Will include: recycling, donating to organizations that benefit society, and giving to the poor/less fortunate Also, citizens should know what they are voting for (be knowledgeable)
Marriage Laws/Holidays There will be freedom of marriage (same gender marriage allowed, no restrictions due to race, etc.) 6 dates set for every year based on the 6 most important achievements as a society of people It will be required that employers allow employees a vacation day on holidays (although they may work if they choose to)
Daily Life Utopia Project
Who will work? People over 18 years of age Every person who is permitted to work will be allowed to choose which jobs they will apply for
Schools Public schools will be provided for all children, with no charges Taxes, however are paid towards the government that go into schools All children must attend school from Kindergarten till 12 th grade They are educated in mathematics, english, history, and science
Music and Art In Schools Music and art are thought to be very important topics that should be encouraged in schools All public schools will be required to have music and art programs so children can learn to express themselves in other ways than academics
Green Society In schools, the children are taught how to reduce, reuse, and recycle Recycling bins are required at every school They are taught to reuse paper and plastic bags so there isn’t as much waste
Living Families will live together within towns and communities in houses whose size depends on the amount of money one chooses to spend on them Who people choose to live with is up to the people
E V E R L A N D Don’t you want to be apart of the Perfect World?
