Finding Nemo
Poster Analysis
Again here is a classic poster advertising a children’s animation film. Bright colours are used to attract children alike in the poster above. Here much more of the narrative is revealed. Again Dory and Nemo are centre frame showing their importance but this time there are characters all around them which they meet along their journey. The sharks are shown to very big and scary which could put off some of the potential target audience. On the other hand the busy poster could attract small children and create more excitement for them as there are so many animated characters shown (they might even pick out a particular favourite). Again future events are foreshadowed as the whole poster isn’t under water which suggests one of the characters may become a fish out of water. Here you have a classic poster advertising a children’s animation film. The target market is children and families. The use of bright colours attracts children to this poster as well as the happy animated characters. Nemo and Dory are placed centre frame which shows their importance in the film and the fact that they are so close together (like a family) mirrors the audience who are predominantly families. This poster doesn’t give too much of the narrative away but there is enough information to intrigue the audience. On the other hand, future events are foreshadowed in this poster as the majority of this poster is very bright and lit up by the light rays coming down apart from the bottom left hand corner which is darker and duller. This represent the terrifying journey Nemo goes on.
