Finding resources at the library

To find resources at the library, users click on the "Library" link and then the "Books and Videos" arrow to access the MATC Library Catalog. In the catalog, users can search for materials by entering an author's last name first in the name field and selecting "Subject" in the dropdown to submit the search. This should return some results, but users can also search by book title if no matches are found for the author search. The document provides instructions for an assignment due on November 4th, 2011 to bring in criticism found on a book or to select a new book if no criticism is found.

- 5. In the blank field, type the name of the author of your book---last name first, then first name.
- 6. In the dropdown field to the left of the name, click on it and select “Subject,” then click on “Submit”
- 7. You should get some “hits.” If you don’t, go back and try the title of your book.
- 8. Assignment for Friday, 11/4/11 Bring in some information on criticism that you found on your book. If you can’t find anything, then you need to get another book that has some.
