- 6. S11 Floor Induction Robot Workspaces ● There are three primary Robot Workspaces on Level 11 – S1145: Small robotic platforms – S1148: Robot arms – S1164: Medical robotics – S1165: Large meeting room that may be used for UAV flights

S11 Floor Induction Emergency Stop Locations ● Each workspace has an emergency stop switch – The emergency stop switch turns the electricity off inside the workspace – Push to cut-off electricity – Twist to reset ● The E-Stops are located on the walls in the following locations: ● Press the E-Stop to – Quickly stop your malfunctioning mains-powered robot – In the event of a water leak (in S1164) – 'Burning' smell from your new mains-powered electronics

S11 Floor Induction General Electrical Safety ● All voltages may be hazardous – Below 50VAC or 120V ripple-free DC 'extra low voltage' in AS/NZS3000:2010 – Working on mains-powered (230V) equipment can only be done by a licensed electrician – Always de-energise circuits before working on them ● No double adapters, no piggy-back plugs, no travel adapters – Use a power-board – See technicians on Level 9 to put Australian plug
- 9. S11 Floor Induction General Electrical Safety ● Electrical Cables need to be tag and tested ● If you find equipment that is faulty or unsafe – immediately place a danger tag on the equipment – Notify a HSE contact to get the equipment repaired, or replaced

S11 Floor Induction Specialised Projects in Workspaces ● Generally, each robotic project has its – Own risk assessment – Own induction process – Own safe operating procedure ● Seek advice from the project owner if you would like to use a particular Robot DO NOT use Robots unless you have been inducted in their safe use

S11 Floor Induction Example of Specialised Project: AgBotII ● A Safe Operating Procedure describes in detail how to safely use a piece of equipment – The safe operating procedure can double as a user manual, or a getting started guide, for a custom robot – Typically, there is a one page summary attached to the robot itself
