- 3. A search engine is a software system that finds web pages that match a web search. It searches the World Wide Web in a systematic way for particular information specified in a textual web search query.
- 4. Unlike web directories and social bookmarking sites, which are maintained by human editors, search engines also maintain real-time information by running an algorithm on a web crawler. DARK WEB Any internet-based content that cannot be indexed and searched by a web search engine fall under the category of deep web.

- 8. MICROSOFT BING Created by Microsoft in 2009, Bing is the second-largest search engine in the world. In February 2023, Microsoft launched Bing Chat an artificial intelligence chatbot experience based on GPT-4.
- 9. YAHOO Launched in 1994, Yahoo is one of the oldest search engines on the internet.
- 10. BRAVE Brave Search is a privacy-focused search engine that offers a private and anonymous search.
- 11. HOW TO USE A SEARCH ENGINE Go to a search engine and type what you're looking for into the search bar. Press ENTER KEY and then TAP a result to view it.
- 12. HOW THE SEARCH ENGINE WORKS URL It stands for Uniform Resource Locator. It is the address of a given given unique resource on the Web. Such resources can be an HTML page, a CSS document, an image, etc.
- 13. Crawler Web Crawler is a bot that downloads the content from the internet and indexes it. The main purpose of this bot is to learn about the different web pages on the internet.
- 14. Processing Search engine starts processing the obtained data Web Indexing It is the process of collecting and storing information from web pages to create a searchable index that can be used by search engines to provide relevant results to users' queries.
