Practical and technical problems Flat camera battery – charge and carry a spare Corrupted memory card – back up to computer New techniques needed for Photoshop – Follow tutorials spend time practicing Lack of ability with camera – Follow online tutorials, use tutors help or do research Computer work deleted or corrupted – Back up to flash drive, one drive or college file share Camera damage – store correctly, use strap and use the cases and protection provided Equipment damage e.g tripod – store correctly, use in safe environments and on correct surfaces Software not working – have something else ready for production

Theoretical Problems Rain/bad weather – bring an umbrella or wait for better conditions Finding models – use friends, family and course members Transport to york – buses, friends cars or parents Cost of buses – use money or parents money Model not turning up – ensure there is back up options Fire risk in studio- make sure to follow all the correct rules and not leave equipment on unsupervised Carrying models clothes around – use a car or various bags Rough terrain or uneven ground – bring various tripods and equipment for good shots Bad lighting – use various lenses, go at a different time, use lighting equipment
- 4. Equipment • During my project I will be using various equipment to capture footage, edit and design my magazine. Of course this means I will have to prepare to make sure this doesn't go wrong. Firstly the use of a camera means I may have issues with both the battery or memory card to combat this I will be taking spares of both of these and backing up my photos on to my laptop during the shoot. These will then also be backed up on to an external hardrive to make sure I have three copies. I have used a camera before and know the basics however I will need to brush up my knowledge to create the best shots possible. Therefore I will be using various online tutorials before the shoot to learn new techniques, I will mainly use youtube for this as I think it is a good place to learn.
- 5. To prevent damage to the equipment I will use certain protective measures. To prevent camera damage I will be ensuring I use the straps and protective gear/ casing. As for tripods these will be stored correctly and only used on flat surfaces and in safe environments. All equipment will be on hand at all times and never left to prevent any chance of theft.
- 6. Software The software I will be using in this project will mainly be photoshop and possibly lightroom during the photo editing stage. Should I encounter issues with these programs I will have alternatives prepared. The photos will be taken in RAW
