The document describes a proposed "FOI anonymiser" which would allow people to anonymously suggest Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to be made through a third party. This would allow whistleblowers to expose information within their organizations while remaining anonymous for legal and career protection reasons. The system would work by allowing Person A to anonymously suggest an FOI request, which Person B could then choose to make through WhatDoTheyKnow. Person B would receive points for doing so, boosting the prominence of their own requests. Some unresolved questions around anonymity and prioritizing certain requests are discussed. Implementation would require two days of coding and some design/UX work.
