 Management of an electrical team to provide power for field locations on exercise and
operations.
 Forecasting and supervising the servicing and maintenance for generators, vehicles and
electrical equipment.
 Manage vehicle and generator movement ensuring full compliance to transport policies
including ADR.
 Provide Health and Safety guidelines relevant to the department’s role.
 Implement the training and mentoring of new entrants. Design and certify a power distribution
plan in line with current wiring regulations.
 Repair, test and inspect vehicle box body electrical systems to comply with current wiring
regulations.
 Fault find and repair all in-service generators, power distribution systems and lighting
equipment.
 Carry out safety inspections of all in-service generators, power distribution systems and
lighting equipment.

 Conduct external validation to capture the operational requirements of Royal Signals trades
and other specialist courses.
