Begin with one good Idea or main point
Consider level of journal: Academic, Non-academic.
Local, National, International, Professional,
preferably before written article.
Review past issues and write for a particular journal
and its audience.
Focus on what other writers are discussing in
reference to ideas, interests, theories, historical
perspectives, etc.
Identify and follow journal requirements.
Process- Pier Review-Protocol
Usually acknowledged within 2 weeks that it was received.
Results:
1. Publish, (rare)
2. Publish with some modifications, Do as quickly as possible.
Send letter or email indicating how you have addressed every
modification as requested
.
3. Resubmit with revisions, (most often)
4; (Option). Decided whether you wish to resubmit or consider
another journal.
5. Rejected. Remember rejection is part of academic writing. Send
elsewhere. DO NOT GIVE up (like a jack in the box. Keep popping
up. Resubmit
