So, you’ve signed up...now what??
First things first; you need to log in. We
recommend bookmarking this page since
you will be using this often. This will log

where you will have access to all aspects
of your account and store.

Creating your store profile
The first time you login, you will be
directed to your stores profile page. It will
look something like this.
This information is critical to how your
account operates, and the information it
gives to your customers and sellers. Not
sure what something is asking? Simply
click the green question mark next to that
space for more information!

Adding Clerks
Now that your store has a profile, you will want your clerks to have their
own login. The clerk account can create sales, return items, and create
layaways. Clerks do not have access to the reports and they cannot edit
any aspect of your account or store. Their name will also be posted on the
receipt for tracking.
You can create as many clerk accounts as
you would like. To do so click “Clerks”
from the GeniusPeddler dashboard.

Adding Clerks (Cont.)
The clerk page displays all current clerks.
To add a new clerk, select “New Clerk” in
the top right corner.
You will then be able to create a clerk
account for each of your clerks.

Please note, only the admin has the
ability to create and/or change
passwords.
Adding Sellers
The last step before making your first GeniusPeddler sale, is to add
your sellers. GeniusPeddler will track sales made by each seller and
allocate the money due to them all based on the inputs and
selections from your store details.
Not only will their sales be tracked, but
when you add them as a seller, with a valid
email, they will be able to create their own
account to view their sales at their leisure.
To add a seller you first click the “Seller”
button on the dashboard .

Adding a Seller (Cont.)
You will then be directed to “Manage Sellers.” Once you have sellers added
to your store, they will be listed here. Add a new seller by clicking the link
at the top right hand corner.

store before you
can make a sale
for them.

particular vendor. You assigned this to the
seller when you created their seller
account.
You will then enter a description for the
item to be sold, and a list price. You can
apply discounts (a $ or % amount) by

Creating a Layaway
GeniusPeddler also tracks layaway items.
These items will be tracked and the money
will be allocated to the seller once they are
paid in full. Adding an item to the cart is
identical to the a normal sale, however
you can only put one item on a layaway
ticket.
When you add an item to the cart it will
ask you how much that will be applied to
the layaway item for this transaction.

Creating a Layaway (Cont.)
You will be prompted to enter how
the payment was received, (cash,
credit, etc) just like a normal sale.
Once you enter the total amount
received for the layaway payment and
how it was paid for, you will enter the
customers information for your
records.

Creating a Layaway (Cont.)
Once complete, your receipt will be
displayed. The difference on the layaway
receipt is the addition of the amount
remaining to pay on the item.

Adding a Payment to a Layaway
When a customer comes to add a
payment to an item on layaway, or pay
that item in full, you simply select
“Layaways” from the dashboard and your
items will be listed. You then select the
item you would like to add a payment to.
You will follow the same process as you
did when creating a layaway. When you
add a payment you will be able to see the
amount remaining and past payments
made.
