- 4. What is graphic design? Using graphics to convey a certain message/ emotion/ image in: Advertisements Magazines Web sites Posters Brochures Books
- 6. Why do we need to study it? It is all around us! It will help you to learn English, by: Studying examples Learning new vocabulary It will be useful in a future job Computer skills How to create a good advertisement It will make you more creative
- 7. What are we going to learn? The basics : form and composition How to use colour Typography : fonts Layout : sizing, style Advertisements Corporate Design : logos, branding Computer Software : Photoshop
- 8. Team Project Work in groups of 3 or 4 Open up PowerPoint Find 5 examples of excellent graphic design ( in your group’s opinion ) and create a PowerPoint presentation telling the rest of the class:

Show the class some examples of your choice. This is not for a grade—it is just to get started: With graphic design Using the internet for research Working in teams

I want to see clear , concise ( expressing or covering much in few words ) and well designed slides for this subject. Remember – think about how you should present your work in front of the class!
