Purpose
 Remove the extensive labour involvement.
 Making system dynamic .
 Remove the current loopholes in mess management.
 Assist in serving better to clients.
 Assist in Maintaining database.
 Provide direct and user friendly interface for polling, notification, feedback,
awareness(mess wastage through statistics)
 Using the computing capabilities for calculations, preparing stats, refining
strategies ( as needed ) and hence improving efficiency of the system.
Scope of Project
 Automate the basic management of mess services in the institute
 Increasing working efficiency and quality of services to all the
stakeholders.
 Provide an interface of interaction, information, notification, feedback etc
b/w the Mess Vendor or Mess management committee and service
takers such as students, staff, faculties etc.
 All stakeholders can avail all feature through his/her Profile.
 Menu viewing and changing, Menu polling, payment options(fees, fine,
dues, refund etc.), utensil leftover notification, Total Client number
notification to vendor(automated), Inform leave, submit feedback, rating
etc are some of the features.
 Apart from these the admin reserves other functions related to inventory
(mess store) which includes current stock display, stock updation options
etc.

Trigger Stipulated hours before the mess serving hour.
Precondition Clients (service users) data must be available.
Basic Path 1.System will automatically count number of clients availing the
service.
2.It calculates number of clients on the basis of how many clients on
leave, fast etc..
3. It will send a notification to admin and mess vendor.
Alternative Path No alternative path
Postcondition Minimization the wastage of food.
Exception Paths None
Other This feature counts the total number of students/staff/faculty availing
the service of mess on that particular day. A notification with an
exact number will be sent to the mess vendor before a few hours
providing him the required details on different categories of food
services.
Expiry Notifier
Use Case Name Expiry Notifier
Trigger The Stakeholder(Admin) clicks on to the Expiry option.
Precondition The Stakeholder(Admin) must be login to his profile page.
Basic Path 1. The Stakeholder logs in to the software.
2. The Stakeholder clicks on the Expiry icon.
3. Details of the Items will be appeared.
Alternative Path No alternative path.
Postcondition Expiry dates will be shown of the Items.
Exception Paths 1. If the expiry date is not available in database
Other This feature of the system will look after the expiry dates of
products in the inventory and if any, crosses the date will be
notified to the management committee and the mess vendor.
