Group dynamics refers to the interactions and forces between members of a group. A group is defined as two or more individuals who come together to achieve common objectives. There are five stages of group development: forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning. During the forming stage, members share information to get to know each other and the tasks. In the storming stage, members compete for status and leadership roles, resulting in tensions. The norming stage occurs when conflicts are resolved and leadership is accepted, allowing cooperation. During the performing stage, the group works efficiently together to achieve objectives. Finally, in the adjourning stage, the group prepares to disband and focuses on wrapping up activities.
