- 1. INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT TREVOR slams the kitchen door an throws his keys on to the counter top next to the sink the sound of music coming from the living room stops abruptly. MRS PHILIPS (SHOUTED FROM THE LIVING ROOM) Who's there? I have a gun ... and I'll use it. TREVOR It's me. I'm going down to the basement. MRS PHILIPS Why the hell are you here. TREVOR Don't come into the basement. CUT TO: INT. BASEMENT - NIGHT A small basement littered with boxes and empty beer cans and bottles there is only one window at the back of the room that only just peers over the pavement. there is a street light directly outside letting a little light into the room we hear the faint sound of TRAFFIC. As TREVOR descends the stairs we see the room from his point of view as he makes his way over to the small lamp in the corner of the room and switches it on. as he switches it on we no longer see the room from TREVOR'S eyes. In the middle of the room is an old dirty couch TREVOR walks towards it and bends down to pull a beer bottle from the mini fridge to its left he brings it up to his mouth and opens the beer bottle with his teeth and collapses onto the couch. On the wall facing the couch there is a large screen TV that does not look like it belongs in this room. TREVOR is visibly agitated. he takes a swig from his beer bottle and reaches for the TV remote on top of the mini fridge. turning on the TV he takes another swig of his beer and begins to flick through the channels. TREVOR starts to look angrier with every swig of the beer that he takes. TREVOR switches off the TV and stands up starting to pace back and forth in front of the couch. TREVOR Fuck He stops pacing and yells TREVOR FUCK! TREVOR throws his beer bottle at the TV and the screen BRAKES. He collapses on the couch with his head in his
- 2. hands. TREVOR I need to smash something. He grabs a baseball bat and thunders up the stairs and into the kitchen. CUT TO: INT. KITCHEN - NIGHT TREVOR walks over to the sink and picks up his car keys from where he threw them just moments earlier. TREVOR I'm going out MRS PHILIPS What was that noise? TREVOR I broke the TV MRS PHILIPS WHAT? TREVOR I'm going to the junk yard Trevor slams the kitchen door as he leaves and heads towards his car. MRS PHILIPS (SHOUTED FROM IN THE HOUSE) You're buying me a new TV you hear me? TREVOR ignores his mothers remark and slides into the drivers seat pulling the door shut and puting the key into the ignition, turning it he SIGHS and pulls out into the back street and drives off.
