Benchmark scores (most recent data available) Share with teachers (expected during August Inservice days) Meetings to discuss weak skills and to celebrate successes Share with parents (expected during parent nights in September) Dine with data PSSA Parent night Review of websites, administrator tips, parent hands-on practice Share with students (ongoing) Homeroom teachers will meet individually with students so students will understand where they need to focus to improve. Classroom teachers who utilize CPS and accelerated math will be expected to use this data to make instructional changes in real time

At school…Problem-solving professional development: (to address immediate concerns) How-to guide for problem solving will be developed with input from teachers, coaches, administrators, and students (September) Adventures of Jasper Woodbury (Middle School) Students will be engaged by the realistic scenarios that will prompt them to brainstorm and problem solve. This will move students beyond thinking that problem solving is a linear process Cognitive Tutor-Algebra One Individualized math instruction Combined with periodic group problem-solving What to do with what we know?
