 1. You need some organization before you begin. There are some roles to share between you.
 Teacher(s) in charge. Facilitates, coordinates, guides the whole team. Including
facilitating meetings, consult with other teachers, the parents and address technical
school, training in ICT, provides solutions, helps in preparation and quality of text and
audio effects with knowledge of music, collection of CDs and more. He takes
permissions, from parents / guardians where required.

   Students/pupils:
    Coordinator / Planner project:
           o organizing team,
           o sets meetings,
o informs the participants (students, teachers and others)
o keeps calendar file for texts and recordings,
o responsible for archiving and sharing of documents,
o preparing his/her team for sending files to coordinators (GR) or any contest, and
              more.
 Speaker(s): who reads meaningfully, texts to recording. Participating in live
      broadcasts/shows.
 Sound Engineer / technician: Take all the technical details of the recording or live
broadcasts/shows, such as organizing files, preparing computers, microphones, consoles,
      etc.
 Audio Editor(s): usually the same person(s) as sound engineer(s) but can be different.
Processes sound files after recording. 'Fixes' files, separates/concatanates files, sets
background music along with the talking piece (called 'music carpet' or plain 'carpet').
 MUSIC provided, is the responsibility of everyone and can supplied by all the
participants in the group. You can assign also the role of “ DJ ” though, if this is possible.
S/He will organize music for the radio broadcast/show.

2. Secondly, listen to European School Radio and spread it the world! word of mouth and
through social media networking contacts (email, chat, Facebook, and others).
3. Then decide what shows you can do:
3.1 Spots/short messages, School News, Social Messages
       3.2 MUSIC playlists
       3.3 Full Radio Broadcasts/transmissions/show
       3.4 Interviews
       3.5 Live Show !

DETAILS:

3.1 Start simple with a greeting:
    ● a ‘greeting’ by the students (with name and reference to the school)
    ● may be any kind of greetings, festive (depending on season), for good luck, thanking for
        your participation, and more.
    ● announcement to your participation on the radio,
    ● a short message that promotes values and social goods, eg 'no to drugs',' no smoking ','
        yes to sport ',' love animals .. . ', and more ....
    ● news of your school news on issues that concern you or news and news from the web.
    ● anything else you want to announce that is a short message
    ● The spots depending on their type, will come into similar times of day, as prescribed by
        radio.

You can often send new spots.

3.2 music selection
The second thing that you can easily do, you can send as much music as you want and
organize it in ‘groups’ according to the type of music. So, create folders ROCK, POP,
HIP-HOP, TRADITIONAL-FOLK, and others, depending on the music you want to
recommend and send us. See the instructions found on the radio blog, on the page related
to publications on the technical specifications of the file (MP3, 44100 or 48000 Hz) for
the ability to send large files, compressed or not, etc.

3.3 Radio Broadcasts/transmissions/show
TheYour next option is to participate in broadcasts with others.
    ● You can join an existing broadcast/show in collaboration with the organizers of the show.
Visit the blog and send relevant email to people you like to join.
    ● You can participate with your own new show and that kind of show you want (music,
entertaining, informative, cultural, sporting and other),
    ● you can have temporary (one off) show or have a permanent presence weekly, biweekly,
       monthly, etc.
● You can participate by broadcasting short, 5 to 10 with a specific theme. In the same way
the show can be longer, up to two hours maximum.
   ● Choose the time you want to play during the week and discuss the availability of the days
      and hours with their coordinators.
   ● Also see the posted schedule and emissions . This will give you ideas for your
      participation and for shows.
Having said that, in the Comenius prospect, we will have special music zones, (most likely in the
morning) where you can transmit your shows.

3.4 Interviews
If you have important people who you think will be interesting for all of us and especially
for the students, get them an interview and record it to play on the radio. Examples are
athletes, writers, singers, people's theater, cinema directors, artistics, professionals, public
        figures, and others.

3.5 Live Shows
You can organise live sessions for any event you really like, especially the ones in the
school. Needs some organization but is not that difficult. (For Comenius, you have experienced it
, when visiting Greece during the 1st meeting).

Yet you can suggest something completely different and original.

Remarks and suggestions
Any form comments and suggestions are welcome. We believe that continuous improvement,
constant growth and evolution of the radio will ensure the sustainability and development.
Therefore, any proposal for improvement, cooperation with educational institutions and other
organizations that serve charitable and non-profit, technical development, web development and
others are consistent with the purposes of the radio are welcome. email: esradio@sch.gr
