Native Mobile Applications (Stage I)
Halcyon is well versed with the technologies required to create native apps for Android or Iphone(IOS) platforms.
We have created a number of apps in the Automobile vertical for Android using Core Java, Android SDK on Eclipse.
For Iphone, we use Objective C on XCodeIDE to do the same.
Hybrid Mobile Applications (Stage II)
As Halcyon got new requirements to reduce the number of releases to the Market and to have a unified code base, we adapted the ‘Hybrid’ model, where in we created mobile sites using ASP.NET MVC 4.0’s Mobile Templates, which leverages the power of JQuery Mobile framework along with HTML 5.
We use these web apps in conjunction with the native apps to get the ‘best of both worlds’. This methodology has helped us to pioneer apps for the Automobile, Utility and Healthcare verticals.

Responsive Web Applications (Stage III)
Halcyon has now moved forward to the next level using the latest technologies in the Web world to create web applications that have no browser/device barriers. The latest set of applications we are developing are being built on CSS 3, HTML 5, JQuery, MVVM (Knockout/Kendo UI). We use Web API for the service layer where there is a server interaction necessary. We have implemented Repository pattern and Unit of Work among other patterns in the latest projects that we are working on.
These applications are designed to be responsive to fit in various browsers on the plethora of mobile devices out there in the market as well as on the good old desktop browsers.
